Christmas in July with Verve

This Center Step Card was made using a retired SU Christmas paper pack which had Mellow Moss and Real Red cardstock and coordinating striped papers.  I used spellbinders dies to cut the shapes for the center of the card.  The tree is made from the Verve O Christmas Tree stamp set by stamping it with versa mark ink and adding color with PearlEx powder pigments. The sentiment on the envelope and card are also from the same stamp set.  I JUST LOVE VERVE STAMPS!

ENABLER ALERT!
Wouldn’t you know, Verve is currently running a 20% off sale on all of their stamp sets until August 4, 2012.

I altered the card just a little so that it would fit into a 5.5”x 5.5” envelope and followed the YouTube video instructions on how to make it with my Martha Stewart scoreboard.   Essentially, you use an 8.5” x 8.5” piece of paper and score at 3 1/8” on all sided.  Oh yea, how about this wonderful tool has been in the box sitting in a corner for over 6 months.  I’m trying to do better when it comes to using what I have instead of purchasing more stuff and I am proud to report that I used things that I have on hand already and it feels GOOOOOOD. Not to mention, it feels good to my pocketbook.   Hahahahahaha

I hope you find the links beneficial and appreciate you taking the time to check out my work.

{{HUGS}} and have a happy, scrappy day.

Grateful The Stampscapes Way

I made this card using stampscape stamps and a Lockhart stamp that have been put away for some years.  Then I used copics to color in everything. I had forgotten how much I liked using them.  The Copic makers just made it that much sweater.  LOL
The Stampscapes used are:  231C, 150E, 054F, and 196F. My favorite chair is a Lockhart Stamp Co. stamp.

Evernote – A Crafter’s Friend

I am so excited to be able to tell you all about a wonderful software that is essentially FREE to help you organize your crafting hobby/business.  It is called EVERNOTE!    Evernote is a free app for your  smartphone and computer that stores everything you could possibly imagine losing track of, like a boarding pass, receipt, article you want to read, to do list, or even a simple typed note.  I use it to help keep track crafting projects, crafting supply list, scrapbooking blogs, and many other things that I want to have at my fingertips on my smartphone.

Over the next few weeks, I will give you all tips and tricks to get the most out of your Evernote experience.  But in the meantime, go here to down load it on your smartphone, laptop, kindle, and table because this program will sync on all your devices to keep your notes updated.
Thanks for stopping by.

Getting Ready for the 4th of July

This 4th of  July lantern is one of the elements in Stars and Stripes SVG Kit  from SVGCuts.com.  The main body of the lantern is made from SU real red card stocked, the accent pieces are from DCWV Summer paper pack.  I used 20 gauge wired that I found at hobby lobby for the handle.  The led candle is from Michaels.
My good friend Mary Hampton and I tackled these together.  We both agree that the lantern is a little challenging but you can make them if you have plenty of time and patience hahahahaha.  TFL

It's Your Birthday L. Dawn

These pages were done for my BFF’s 50th birthday party. We had a wonderful time at her gathering and I had a great time doing this album to commemorate this special event.   The image on the wobble page is from Robert Jackson’s digital stamps.  The image is colored with Copic markers and cut out using the hinge method with my Ecraft Machine.  Thank you for stopping by my blog to check me out.

Liebster Award

Thank you so much Angela B at  OK Cricuteer Blog Spot for choosing me to receive this Liebster Award.   Angela is very talented person on The Outlawz Ning and I am pleased that she chose me for this award.
"The origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning favorite or dearest, to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note."

Without further adieu, here's what you do as a presenter of this award!

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.
3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve.
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.

So, now it's my turn to pay it forward, my picks for fellow bloggers with less than 200 followers, in no particular order, are as follows:

1. Shalana Glass Scrappin' with Shalana

2. Tammy Venable-Garnett From Me 2 U Papercrafting

3. April R. Jackson The Purple Scrapbook

5. Tracey Jean Sticky Inky Fingers

Now, choose 5 blogs that you like and give them the award!

Graducation Card 2012

This is the card I made for each of the graduates in my family this year. I used SU confetti white card stock for the card base, bazzill textured black and gold card stock, and Paper Studio Pearlized white card stock. The embellishments are from the Jolees' Boutique Graduation 3D sticker pack. The outside sentiment is from a stamp purchased from Hobby Lobby. TFL
